Certainly not in any order of priority as favorites, but the first three series are definitely my all time favorites and as everyone knows, nothing ever tops Friends!! I only saw two seasons of Prison Break [and have heard they are the best anyway] and am so looking forward to the new season of The Mentalist coming up soon! The Mentalist has even inspired me to take up reading books on Body Language, an endeavor I will follow up with practice and further reading on Cold Reading, hehe!
Six young people, on their own and struggling to survive in the real world, find the companionship, comfort and support they get from each other to be the perfect antidote to the pressures of life.
2- Prison Break
An engineer (Wentworth Miller) installs himself in a prison he helped design, in order to help his brother (Dominic Purcell), a death-row inmate who insists he did not commit the crime for which he has been sentenced to die and help him escape.
3- The Mentalist
After a serial killer named Red John murdered Patrick Jane’s wife and daughter, Jane dedicated his life to hunting down and killing Red John. To that end he gave up his lucrative pretense of being a psychic and joined the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a consultant to the team responsible for investigating the Red John case, led by Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon. Using Jane’s exceptional gift for observation and his mentalist tricks, the team is able to close an unprecedented number of cases, but Jane’s unconventional and often outright illegal methods also bring much censure down on Lisbon’s head, making his assistance both a blessing and a curse. Meanwhile, the hunt for Red John continues…
4-Game of Thrones
Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue is pervasive. The dominant families are the Houses Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard, Lord Stark, to serve as Hand of the King, or highest official. Secretly warned that the previous Hand was assassinated, Eddard accepts in order to investigate further. Meanwhile the Queen’s family, the Lannisters, may be hatching a plot to take power. Across the sea, the last members of the previous and deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also scheming to regain the throne. The friction between these clans, and with the remaining great Houses Greyjoy, Tully, Arryn, and Tyrell, leads to full-scale war. All while a very ancient evil awakens in the farthest North. Amidst the war and political confusion, a neglected military order of misfits, the Night’s Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and icy horrors beyond.
5-Brothers and Sisters
The story of the drama surrounding a family’s adult siblings.
6- Desperate Housewives
The “normal” suburban life for a group of close-knit housewives takes a dark turn when one of their closest friends mysteriously commits suicide. Now while trying to deal with their own hectic problems and romantic lives, each year brings on a new mystery and more dark and twisted events to come. Life behind closed doors is about to be revealed as suburban life takes a funny and dark turn.
For future viewing, my hard disk has already been stocked to the limit with
Breaking bad, Vampire Diaries, Fringe, Criminal Minds, Rome and White Collar, and after recently finishing Mentalist, I am having trouble deciding what to watch next! For the time being, I have simply decided not to see anything so as to not spoil the fun in the other series’s until I get into the proper mood to enjoy it!
